Working
with Syndecrete
Over the years we have developed the following process for fabricating
and installing Syndecrete® orders. We have found that these
steps best enable us to serve our customers in a timely and personalized
manner. The process has been designed to streamline procedures and minimize
confusion. In addition, it contains a series of quality control checkpoints
which we include to ensure that your Syndecrete® product
meets or exceeds your expectations. Each Syndecrete® piece
is a unique, hand crafted work, created in an atmosphere of artistic and
professional collaboration. Below, we have highlighted the steps you,
the customer, will need to make during this process.
PRE-FABRICATION
Signature & Deposit Required
1) The customer signs the Syndecrete proposal and returns it along with
the required pre-commencement deposit.
2) Syndecrete prepares a work order and assigns a job number to the project.
No job number will be assigned without receipt of the signed proposal
and required deposit.
3) The Syndecrete project manager contacts the customer to arrange for
a field measurement, if applicable. All cabinets and substrates must be
prepared prior to field measurement. All applicable plumbing fixtures,
hardware, and cutout templates must be on site at this time. (For further
details, please request a copy of our Pre-Field Measurement Guidelines.)
Any discrepancies found between the client's submitted preliminary plans
and the project manager's field measurements or any customer requested
changes may result in a change order and any applicable price changes,
which must also be approved by the client.
Signature Required
4) Syndecrete prepares shop drawings and submits them to the client for
review and approval. The client signs, then returns the approved shop
drawings. Color specification should be finalized, signed, and approved
at this time also. No work shall commence until signed approvals are received.
FABRICATION
5) Syndecrete builds the forms, prepares mix, and pours the piece(s).
6) The piece is allowed to cure and dry for approximately 2-3 weeks.
7) The form is removed and the piece is hand finished, sealed and waxed.
8) Assembly, if required, is performed.
9) Final quality inspection by Syndesis is conducted.
CLIENT INSPECTION AND FABRICATION PAYMENT
10) Syndesis sends a Client Inspection Notice and a Progress Payment Invoice
for the balance of the fabrication fees.
Signature & Progress Payment Required
11) Client inspects order at the Syndecrete facility and approves work.
12) Client submits balance of fabrication payment prior to installation
or shipping.
(For customer work that will not be installed, a final invoice is prepared
and the client is notified to make their own arrangements for shipping.)
INSTALLATION AND SHIPPING
13) Syndecrete's project manager calls in advance to arrange for an installation
time. The project manager can discuss your project needs with you at the
time of scheduling your installation. All substrates, surface preparations,
etc. must be prepared. Any down time caused by the client or their contractor
for an un-prepared site will result in additional installation charges.
14) Syndecrete's project manager submits a final installation invoice
to the client at the jobsite. No installation will occur unless proof
of payment is available upon installer's arrival at the jobsite.
15) Installation by Syndecrete installers.
Signature and Final Payment Required
16) Notice of Completion: Project manager and client review the finished
installation to ensure client's satisfaction. Project manager has client
sign Notice of Completion.
17) Client submits final installation payment.
(Out of region clients arrange for their shipper to pick up their pieces
at the Syndecrete facility.)
POST-INSTALLATION
18) Syndecrete Care and Maintenance instructions and complimentary Syndecrete
Wax(R) are provided to the client during the installation. Please call
Syndecrete if you have any questions about your new Syndecrete product.
19) Syndecrete sends a Customer Service Survey to all parties involved
with the project.
20) Customers answer and return Syndecrete Customer Service Survey. We
hope you will help us to better serve you by answering a few questions
about our products and services by returning the survey to us.
